Create a Zildo!

Conjoin Brain & Shaft

Introduction

Zildos came from an effort to figure out the quickest, easiest way to make and customize a personal vibrator. These can be seen as the other end of the DIY spectrum from Comingle’s Mod which is incredibly powerful, but has a much more sophisticated build process. The Zildo is like a self-published guerilla Zine of sex toys- You have full control of making this fun thing however you want. It is meant to be cheap and easy to make like the LED-throwie of personal massagers.

With a Zildo, you can be ready for a relaxing time in just about 10 minutes using only some thermoplastic, a vibration motor, and a coin cell battery.

These make for good, homebrew bulletvibes and can add vibration to non-vibrating dildos!

Introduction

It’s a simple headband that makes you see crazy flashing, mutating light patterns! It also seems to make you feel energetic or calm depending on the frequency.

Passing High-Voltage, Low-Current electricity through your forehead to give yourself a private light-show has never been easier. It’s cheap, and not that hard to make. In fact, if you have one of our Mod personal massagers or a dilduino board,¬†you hook this setup directly to it and let yourself be internally massaged with vibrations that sync up to crazy light patterns in your eyes!

Let us show you how to do this! If you follow our steps, you will have an awesome device for seeing crazy visuals and potentially changing your mood, as well as a DIY Tens-unit for stimulating your nerves!

Communicating with your Mod from your Android phone

Introduction

Connecting your Mod to your Android phone opens up all sorts of possibilities for in-bedroom controls and connectivity. The android part isn’t nearly as straightforward as it should be, so we provided this tutorial for you! Read on to find out how to get this working with your device.

USB OTG

The USB protocol operates in a host/accessory¬†configuration. Your computer is a USB host. It’s the main device to which you attach other devices (such as a USB keyboard, printer, camera, or phone), and it’s capable of providing power to operate and charge those devices.

Your phone typically behaves as an accessory, expecting to connect to a host and be manipulated by that host.

The USB OTG (On-The-Go) standard allows some devices that are typically accessories to behave as hosts, so you could, for instance, plug your printer in to your phone to print a document.

Introduction

Quickly make a banana, a beverage, your bed frame, a spanking paddle, or even your sex partner into a touch-sensitive controller for your dildo! Synchronize the pleasurable feelings of a metal head massager with your dildo, or play¬†your lover’s body like a theremin!

Turn Your Partner into a Sensor!

You can find more creative ways to use capacitive touch by incorporating a partner! We simply attached a clip to standard metal body jewelry (Melanie’s ring). You can use all sorts of body piercings as conducting elements for capacitive touch sensing. Notice how proximity works!

You can create multiple variations in the intensity of your Mod’s vibrational patterns given the type of contact you make with the sensing device! Try out different types of piercings (nose, ear, genital) and discover¬†the different types of responses you get when the electrical capacitance penetrates your body differently! (FYI we’re co-workers not partners! Just demonstrating!)

Healthy DIY Semen-Lube

Introduction

Making Healthy Imitation Semen

Within the greatness of all sexual diversity, Comingle wanted to celebrate unique sexual preferences by developing a safe “semen” recipe that could be used for simulating an orgasm.¬†For those who enjoy a little more realism when using their dildos, we have come up with a safe and satisfying aesthetic for imitating ejaculate. Doctors¬†are still undecided as to whether using yogurt inside your vagina actually promotes a healthy ecosystem and fight infections, but the important thing is that yogurt up there won’t hurt you (unlike other materials)!

The ingredients used in this recipe do not cause any bodily harm and provide for a somewhat authentic taste.DSC_2508

If you find yourself questioning the safety of such methods, don’t worry, we got you covered. We released an open-source attachment¬†.¬†This How-to article shows you how to replace or adjust the blade to make a safe fun toy!

Introduction

Computer Vision

Computer Vision processes the pixels coming into a computer from a camera to sense and understand things about the world. One example of this is the Face-tracking software built into many cameras and video-chatting software these days. Because the Mod can talk with computers very easily (by just plugging it in), you can use many computer vision programs to control how your dildo works!

In this example we show you how to control your dildo with your computer’s webcam. Watch several examples of many different types of interactions. With a simple computer vision program, your dildo can respond to: dancing, waving, thrusting, blinking, or even ambient scenes like an aquarium or tree branches swaying in the wind.

Introduction

Joystick Fun

As we showed in an ealier How-To, hooking a potentiometer knob is one of the easiest ways to control any device. Joysticks are basically two potentiometers connected to each other. These are pretty much just as easy to connect to your Mod, and provide an powerful, intuitive way to control it.

Using the simple code below, you can explore the joystick by moving it up, down, side-to-side, or even give it a twirl!

Potentiometer Knob

Introduction

Playing with a Potentiometer

Using a potentiometer with Comingle’s Mod is a fun and basic way to control the vibration intensity of your dildo. It’s super simple to setup a basic sensor like a¬†potentiometer with the Mod. Just plug in 3 wires, and Comingle already has code for you for you to run on your device for instant exploration. We invite you to experiment with the potentiometer by turning the knob left and right. Figure out the right intensity for your ideal vibe!
